This Privacy Policy explains how Autosubbed collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use our service. It applies to all data collected through our website and platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account data: Your email address and hashed password, or your OAuth profile (name, email) when signing in with Google.
• Usage data: Your job history, current subscription plan, and monthly minutes consumed.
• Uploaded videos: Video files you upload are stored temporarily in Cloudflare R2 solely for processing purposes.
• Payment data: Billing and payment information is handled entirely by Creem.io. Autosubbed never stores card numbers or payment credentials.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Autosubbed service.
• Process your videos and return the results to you.
• Send transactional emails (e.g. account registration, subscription confirmation).
• Enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.

4. Third-Party Services

Autosubbed relies on the following third parties to deliver the service:

• OpenAI Whisper API: Audio extracted from your video is sent to OpenAI for transcription.
• Cloudflare R2: Temporary file storage for uploaded and processed video files.
• Creem.io: Payment processing and subscription management.
• Google OAuth: Optional sign-in via your Google account.

5. Data Retention

Input video files are deleted from Cloudflare R2 immediately after processing completes. Output files (with burned subtitles) are automatically deleted after 7 days. Account data (email, job history, subscription status) is retained until you delete your account.

7. Security

We apply industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes and are never stored in plain text. Authentication uses short-lived JWTs stored in httpOnly cookies. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

8. Children's Privacy

Autosubbed is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of Autosubbed after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
